Easy way to get big power out of an engine without having to tune it to the point of being unreliable. Cars are getting heavier due to all the safety crap so need power to pull em along. Low pressure turbo is easy to fit, relatively cheap and is reliable.

    Low pressure turbo
but why have low pressure when you can have a huge lagmonster of a t3 with 2 bar ?

Exactly that - lag. Doesn't make the car drivable plus high boost applications aren't favoured due to the strain they put on the lumps. Mass production and small tolerances needed for high boost engines.. Well..

Which is why Jap motors cost so much more and are a pig to insure cheaply (esp if you import).

Need doing......hold on.....bigger letters needed NEED DOING EVERY 4 YEARS OR 40,000 MILES WITHOUT FAIL

sO IF YA DONT KNOW, OR ITS NOT BEEN DONE, get them done now

OK...and once its done, if ya spend a bit of time in town, or in traffic, GIVE IT SOME STICK.....high revs, nice and hot regularly.

The car has an EGR Valve (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and it reburns a litle amount of exhaust gas, so it gets gummed up when cold driving happens
