price to pay for a golf

as title what would i be looking to spend for a mach 4 golf 1.4 litre basic model will low mileage

Not sure about the price m8 but I would go for a 1.6 at the very least. 1.4 is too small an engine for the mk4

i was genna write 'it's a small price to pay' ... but fuel tax @ 80% ... is it worth it? i'm commuting 75 miles/day in the wife's clio 1.2 because the roadsters too thirsty...

so, get yourself a golf tdi and pocket the savings - then you can spend more on.... BEER!!

i'd say go with a tdi if you want good economy - the vw/audi/everyoneElse tdi block aint bad
