Bought this fiesta on friday. Its a 1.6SI and Seems to be in good condition atleast in the inside. Has done 61k and i cant decide if the front tires are the originals (prev owner stuck alloys on so didnt use these wheels for a long time) . The new MOT failed first time on part of the suspension, cant remember what but it cost £150 for it to be fixed inc the mot.. not bad for a 11 year old car imo

Im going to paint the small scratches/stone chips on the front tomorrow. Most have gone to the metal so need doing if i dont want rust... fixed one large chip today that had a bit of rust...

Theres an circle on the front bumper (arrow pointing to it in one of the pics...) where somone must have reversed into it with a hot exhaust and melted a hole

Speakers on the boot shelf look a bit stupid (and quite annoyingly reflect on the window when looking back from the front. They were put in by one of the previous owners..







Also it has a prob with nearside door. The central locking works fine so its not a huge problem but the key doesnt do anything in passenger side but works fine in all the other locks. Was going to take the lock barrel out today but couldnt get to it without having to drill rivets (according to the haynes book! - I couldnt find them).

Deff get rid of the 6*9s or get some decent ones with black cloth covers

Looks alright, not sure on the lights but they're better than lexus style lights

yeah the rear lights seem to be tinted in some way not sure if it was like that new or if it was added later... if open the boot you can see the inside plastic is clearer

will prob keep the speakers as im now too poor to buy new ones, and theres not much i can do to hide them... suggestions welcome tho...


question for anyone that knows... the front tires have quite a bit of tread left, but the rubber has perished/gone hard. Are they still safe?

Nice, my dad got the same car almost a year ago. Same colour, SI version, 1.6 etc. It hasn't got dark tail lights though.

How much did you pay for it?

I've been learning to drive in my dads, they seem quite fast and nippy for a 1.6. Only bad thing is there isn't much space for me in the driving seat, and the back seats are awful unless you have small kids. Passenger seat is very spacious and comfortable though.

Edit: Exhaust looks bigger on my dads though... pretty sure it is stock as I have seen the same one on other SI's though..

It was £850. back seats are quite comfy for me but I really hate how hard it is to get out the drivers seat esp parked across a slope which the parking spaces I use happen to be on.
