    Water pump on Audi

    Hi Guys (and Gals),

I've been on this forum a fair amount but must be honest and say this is my first post here!

I had a nighmare on sat when my petrol Audi started to sound like a diesel. I stopped straight away and got green flag out who informed me that it was the water pump, and its a common issue for Audi's.

Just wondering if anyone know of a good garage in the North West (Wigan) area that would be able to change a water pump on an A4 2.4 v6? My normal garage is swamped and I'm a little stuck... :-(

    Any help would be appriciated....

I did, he's been ringing round other garages to try to book the thing in anywhere, everyone seems to be fully booked for weeks, and I aint taking it to Audi, I'd need a lottery win!

Managed to get it sorted (I think), the garage I originaly took it to made a few phone calls and an ex Audi employee is doing the job. Looks like its going to cost about £175+parts...

Not quite as bad as I initially though, which is good as I was just about to advertise it before this happened! :-P

Thanks for the assistance peeps. :-D

strange, a A4 water pump is under £30 from europarts, are you being ripped off or are they changing the entire cooling system including the rad??
