    Thumbs up Cavalier SRi 16v

Need to raise a 'bit' of money to pay for the new engine - so one of the cars is going to have to go.
Its a Cavalier SRi 16v (non ecotec) on a 'K' plate (so full 150bhp version).
Totally. totally std - Vauxhall history to 89k (IIRC), currently on 114k miles - but hardly shows. This car is as Vauxhall made it - from the interior down to the air filter and alloys.
Not currently MOT'd - needs OSF headlight lens replacing (stone chip) and the downpipe replacing/welding.
Engine has recently had new headgasket, cam belt and waterpump - and unless I can find the 'keys' - looks like the flip front kenwood stereo will be staying as well.
Looking for £550 as is - engine, box, brakes and wheels worth more than that alone.
Car is located 10 mins from Junction 11 of the M1 (Luton, Bedfordshire)
    Cheers
    Iain

    Shape (Hatch/Saloon)?

Very good value but watch out for the downpipe price....those are probably proper 4-2-1 systems.

If someone wants a real engine ...this is IT.

they are seriously fast.....not a GSI, which means BIGGER BOOT but normal rear suspension (ie not indepandant)

As with all Eazi......if it aint got comments regualarly by weekend, please bin it (or ask me to)

    Cheers

    Cheers Zak
(Sure you dont want the engine for yours )
The car is a 5 door Hatchback, ABS, etc etc.
As for the downpipe - yup your right - If I get the chance once the SD1 has gone up north (when I receive the rest of the money...) then I may get the chance to drop the downpipe and run a quick weld around it - but if I did that I may as well get the rest of the work done, MOT it and sell for a tad more !!
As always time is not on my side now - chassis builder has been on the phone saying the drag car is going back into the workshop this week - and as soon as I have the engine in my possesion (and theirs for fitting) - the car will be coming back home - hence why I need to move this car ASAP (need the space and money).
For those who would like Pics - should be able to get some over the weekend.

The XE SRi's are quicker than the GSi's due to all the toys they dont have, if the engines a good one then its worth close to the askin price on its own.....

Edit - if anyone knows of any good forums that would be interested in this sort of car, could you let me know please? (or indeed if they could post on my behalf)
Looks like the deal on the SD1 is going xxx's up - and I am now desperate to sell this one to help pay for the Chevy engine
(if anyone needs further details please PM me)
    Cheers

Rear was jacked under the diff housing, then stands put either side (using the std SD1 jack to gain a bit of height - the SD1 sits VERY low to the ground!!).
Front was jacked using the std SD1 jack on the jacking points at the front of the car, until I could get the hyd jack in under the car - then jacked that against a strutural member until it sat high enough to get the stands in.
Could have done with being a bit higher really - and they arent your every day stands either (or jack come to that) - both 'h/duty' garage use.
