On reflection - it's lucky I didnt go for the Veyron really...

... apparently they're a bit low and you tend to scrape heck out of the hideously expensive undersides

I have enough trouble on my drive already

The leaf was lucky. I think if it had been slightly to the left it would have got crushed

Let's not forget that even Bugatti think the Veryon is underpowered, hence the ~£70k upgrade that gets you an extra 231hp a must if only to anoy the people who only have the standard 1001. (It's also 19mph faster not that it needs the extra power to reach 272mph as the standard one is electronical limited to 253 due to tyres exploding) Still expect to see autotrader in Cheshire filled with 2nd hand "poverty spec" ones soon.

It did have a gold plated manifold and a lot of the engine bay was gold for heat sheilding I think. I was lucky enough to go to mclaren and see/crawl over 4 they had in a line up. However that was 8 or 9 years ago!!
