    New M6 Toll

If this new M6 Toll is a private road, does that mean that the owners can put whjatever speed limit on it that they want?

Heh, I doubt it ... I rekon there will be one imposed.

Be good if it isn't though!

IIRC it's not a private road as such, it was just built using private money. It's still owned by the government, but the profits and the running of it is down to the peeps who funded it.

    Would be nice though.

Hey...even if it WAS PRivate, they'd haveto apply for a competition license to allow us to drive over 70 on it

Hmm, went past it last night (I live right around the corner from it) and saw a few cars on it.. most were Police though. Believe me they're patrolling this like you wouldn't believe since it's so empty. Obviously looking out for someone trying their new Ferarri out.

Maybe they just can't be bothered to pull people over.

Were they parked up near a burger van?

I'm intending to do some testing on it soon as well. Clio 16v vs Clio GTT. Won't be doing more than 70, but we'll be doing lots of 30-70 etc.

Is what i hear about the large amount of passive speed cameras on this road right?

Apparently they're just like the specs ones on motorways and set to trigger at 78.........

don't ask how i know that

Nothing on the SPECS site - don't know if there's anybody else that makes them.
