    Been experimenting with Heater Controls

and the simple fact is, DONT BLOW HOT AIR at your windsceen after you've defrosted it...

once its melted and you are warm, knock the temp down or redirect it away from the screen...

BECAUSE.......the glass gets so warm, that all the spray from the road, which is dirty and salty this time of year, dries really fast...

that means you end up "squirting" twice as often.

If the spray hits the screen and stays cool it wipes away with the normal wiper action.

Been playing with it today...deffo works....

you doneed some air up on the screen so you dont mist up, but keepit cooler.

Ah, I don't like eing hot in the car, that's probably why my washer fluid lasts so long!
I own a PC that changes regularly, so I don't bother putting anything in here...

My KA has to stay outside, and some idiot before we bought it had put 'Brand new KA for £5495 on the road!' in the two passenger windows...When it frosts up the whole street can see the price of the car! lol.

We are getting it polished off by Ford soon tho free of charge after a bit of moaning

its really hard to get that off...bet it still shows up after all their efforts...

Meths is best.....the glass on our cars often show up the round suction pads that Vauxhall put them in with at the factory inside on a cold day..

    they just wont go away

Won't Methylated Spirits nicely strip the paint from you body work if you aren't careful?? I'm sure it will!

*Disclaimer - Zak33 and Hexus do not take any responsibility for you being dumb enough to try out Zak's zany ideas when you get home. Zak gets bored easily so entertains himself by thinking up ways to get people to damage their cars in order to get them to go and buy a new one (from him), thus alleviating his boredom. Also this has the side effects of lining his pockets with 20 quid notes. Beware of Zak33!

Tried what you said Zak, but my screen just misted up really quickly.

Any ideas how to stop this without turning the heater on the windscreen?

you can blow air on the screen BUT make it cooler...not so hot.

Humidity is HIGH this week, cos of all the rain, plus your shoes and coat are wet, its all in the car....

so fresh air on the screen is good, warm is fine..just NOT HOT...

In fact....its time for a new thread.
