Smile MP3 Car Radio FM transmitter...

I often listen to my MP3 player on the train on my way home from work, and it annoys me that I can't continue to listen to the same music once I get into my car to drive home from the station...

...so I have just bought myself an MP3 Car Radio FM transmitter on Ebay

    (link)

...and I have to say I am very impressed!!
For £13 (£8.99 +£3.99 p&p, although it was slightly cheaper as I bought something else too) it was great value
As the transmitter just plugs into the headphone socket of the MP3 player, I guess it will therefore plug into any device with a headphone socket, portable CD player etc if need be.

Very easy to use, and although only really radio quality, plenty good enough for what I needed.

So for anyone who can't fit a CD player to their car and has a radio and wants an endless supply of their favourite tracks... I would recommend one of these!!

(and our Tesco's are selling 256mb Technika MP3 players for £5!)

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

I got one, can't remember exactly what it was but was meant to be one of the better for the money (£12 ish IIRC) and it was absolute crap! Worse than FM by a long way, eventually purchased an MP3 cd player to get some tunes in the car. Also has aux in which can be connected to an mp3 player

I got a Belkin TuneCast 2 (white) from a Discovery Shop when I was over in the US a while back, this was a long time before FM senders were legalised in the UK so I was pretty happy to have it Tune to any frequency between 87 and 108MHz, dead handy, also has something like a 20-preset memory if you're travelling a long way and have to adjust frequencies (always a pain having to look away from the road to your sender's display to see what frequency you've found which is free. And it's dangerous to boot).

I paid a bit more than £15 I had a REALLY old FM sender with just four presets too years ago, that was alright, but I really like my TuneCast. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, lightweight, the cable wraps around and fits into a little nook, takes two AAA batteries, and it has a car charger too. Very useful.

I do like the ones which fit into ciggy lighter sockets though, they look pretty useful.
    I like ellipses...

I'm really tempted to pick one of these up as I really can't be bothered wiring my player up properly, and for £15 - looks like a bargain!
