My first car was a Clio, but that wasn't technically mine. My first car that I own is my Alfa (Alfa Romeo 147 1.6 Twinspark Lusso, as XTR would say)

I learned to drive in a diesel 106... *shudder*

Also have driven a Focus and Alfa 156, only the latter being worth mentioning

I didnt start driving until i was 19 and my first car was a Red Talbot Horizon, one previous owner an old lady who never drove it and hardly any miles on the clock, so thought what a bargain.

But less then 3 months later the gearbox started to fail, found out it would cost about £250 to replace but the car only cost that

Ended up scrapping it, but the engine, interior and bodywork were in perfect working order.

My first car was a Daihatsu F20 (1978) drum brakes all round, manual choke and a 1.6 SU carb petrol motor. Unfortunately, being Japanese, it was a nightmare to insure and I had to chop it in (plus it kept pressurising the crank case and blowing the rocker cover seal Got me a Land Rover Ninety now. It rocks!
