Take one winter bitten manifold






Give it a good clean (this was the hardest part).
I decided to take it right down to the metal, should last a bit longer this way, and will be easier to do next time around.





Paint with heat resistant paint

Wanna do the one off my Varadero?

Thinking of doing that before I sell it, get more money for it that way (oh, and it is a known problem on ER-5s )

Its not the kinda job you can do in a day though, I really underestimated the time it would take. The paint alone needs a good day to dry, each side!

Its a PITA on the Er-5's due to the way its exposed
Ive seen a bellypan for it, but it looks rubbish. Plus its a stupid price.

This should last a while though. Its easy enough to do when I come to sell it

I keep whacking mine into kerbs and stuff. Oh well, I daresay some putty will fix it when it starts blowing.

Mine being a V-twin its gunna be a pita to remove
