Exclamation Which RGB fan controller for Corsair Carbide Spec-06?

I have a Corsair Carbide Spec-06 case. A few months ago I also added the lighting node pro with RGB Strips. I want to add some RGB fans, but it seems they also need a controller.

So what controller would be required to run both the RGB strips and a couple of RGB fans?

If it's Corsair fans and RGB strips, you'll want the iCUE Commander Pro, I believe.

Thanks, does this mean the other controller is no longer needed?

    The Lighting Node?
I don't think it's technically needed, but I believe you can link it (and another one) to the Commander and run it like a splitter.

Re: Which RGB fan controller for Corsair Carbide Spec-06?

If you are planning to get an icue Commander Pro, it will support 6 x 3pin / 4-pin fans but only has two led lighting channels. You could probably get away with the Commander Pro alone if you only ever planned to use two lighting channels, which probably won't be enough if you have RGB strips and fans! What would probably be best is to make use the two led lighting channels on the Commander Pro, connect your lighting node to one of these channels. If that lighting node has enough space to support all your strips and fans then one will be enough, otherwise purchase another lighting node / corsair RGB led fan hub and connect that to the second commander Pro channel. These hubs and the Commander Pro are super useful as it saves having to route all your fan cables to the headers on your motherboard plus it comes with the added benefit of tow USB connectors, but it does mean you'll have a good amount of cable management to do at the rear of your case!
