Corsair 5000D Airflow or Phanteks P500a (DRGB)?

    Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my case and I've narrowed it down to these two.

I was set on the P500a, but curious what you guys think of the new 5000D.

I will be purchasing some extra rgb fans.

    PC Build if curious:

    Ryzen 3900x
    Noctua NH-D15
    Nitro+ 6800XT

    Thanks guys.

Based on your two choices and the use of a noctua CPU cooler, I'm assuming that thermals and acoustics are important.

    According to the following link:

The two cases perform similar in thermals. Acoustics will be more dependent on what RGB fans you opt out buy.

It's advice reading through both reviews, to help you decide which case offers you the slight advantage:

I personally use a p400a, based on GamersNexus review on good airflow, mesh cases. I've found the case to run cool and relatively quiet for my system. There was plenty of room for cable management, but this is to be expected with large ATX cases.

It terms of performance, they are both great. For a build such as yours, either will give good airflow to keep thermals low. It is just a preference at this point. I personally like the look of the P500A myself but I'm biased since I actually have it lol. Up to you what you which one looks better.

Hows the cable management on the P500a? Forgot to mention I'm still using 2x 3.5inch hard drives (old drives with important data) and 2 SSDs.

That's a fantastic review on the 5000D, thanks for sharing. I'm on a 220T and considering sizing up to a 4000D or 5000D because of AIO constraints.
