New Motherboard needed

Hi, hope this is posted in the right place,not having much luck lately, the mainboard went awol last night MSI MS6747 oem board Medion pc.
Will be getting an Largere case. , so..... wish to keep the CPU -P4 3.06 HT- socket 478 Northbridge-and existing ram which is PC3200 so need slots that can eventually take up to 4gig,and need a AGP slot for graphics card which is only 1 week old, now techy guys at work recommend Asus but reading specs for mobo's is gobbldegook to me, so any advice really welcome.

Had Pc at work today and tech guys say board is awol but there not much help on available borads as they use our old server PC's at home, only advice seems "you won't get a new AGP or 478 board".

Not looking to spend loads of dosh. if to pricy for self build may have to go the Dell way cept I don't want Vista. Will get back as and when as only able to use sons imac at home.

You can get a new S478 mobo (SCAN have 1 with a PCI-E gfx slot) but getting a new S478/AGP will be tough unless some shop has 1 gathering dust on the shelf.
eBay or buy/sell forums like here , bit-tech, OcUK etc. most likely

Well the Hard drive has now packed so have to have a rethink on what my best option are now being skint. Like this imac I'm using now but at £900....

However it now appears that the HDD went awol. won't boot, so.........techies at work now have it running as a slave all 130gig intact, and reistalled XP on an old 40gig Maxtor. Will now be buying a new HDD and Acronis image to back up the lot.
