is the Coolermaster RC-330 Elite Case OK?

Guys really sorry if this had been asked a million times before but what's the general verdict on the Coolermaster RC-330 Elite case?

It's cheap and carries the CoolerMaster badge but can appreciate it's made of steel and not alluminium etc. Seems to look OK from the stock photo and has a 120mm rear exhaust fan to boot and all for £25 delivered from Scan!

If there's any owners out there that can recommend it I'd appreciate hearing back from you, or if there's any other cases that you'd recommened as an alternative for under £30 I'd also really appreciate hearing from you

    Cheers

yikes nobody has this case then? I'd of thought for £25 it would have been popular so maybe I'm mistaken and it's best avoided?

try to google a review or 2 on it.

lower end cases are not common on forums like these as a lot of us tend to build a PC into something special, hence lack of reply to a cheap option

It looks like an new incarnation of the Centeriuan 5, which I have for an older machine. It's an adequate case, but it's nothing special. Which was a complete headache as far as routing cables is concerned, that one doesn't look as bad.

Re: is the Coolermaster RC-330 Elite Case OK?

Just had a look at the customer reviews on newegg
even the one who liked the case seem to agree with the dislikes on these points

    1 cheap
    2 Thin metal, bit flimsy
3 screwless system not that great
    4 Sharp edges

For under £30 these get sugested a lot.

Re: is the Coolermaster RC-330 Elite Case OK?

Cheers guys, really appreciate your feedback. Thanks to Pob255 also, just had a quick google for those 2 cases you recommended and saw a few decent reviews of the Akasa Zen case and it sounds ideal. One of the main reasons for considering the Coolermaster case was due to it having the pre-made duct holes in the side casing which help to cool the CPU and video card, but now after reading the reviews see that the Akasa Zen case also has this as standard

Re: is the Coolermaster RC-330 Elite Case OK?

Most Midi tower ATX cases have venting holes now, normally an 80mm grill (with a plastic duct attached) above the CPU
An a 80mm x 120mm grill in the lower left (additional ventilation for the graphics card)

My friend has the Xclio 6030 PLUS Black Midi Tower Case with 36cm Side Panel Fan case. It's a decent budget case and offers adequete cooling, i suppose it doesnt look that horrible either.

sorry mate I think the Xclio cases look horendous

Think I'll go for the Zen case instead as it has 2 fans and I like the minimal look to it.

Re: is the Coolermaster RC-330 Elite Case OK?

    I built two rigs recently...
one for my hardcore gaming self... and one for my girlfriend..

    mine:
    NZXT lexa case
    P5K-E
    Q6600
    Enermax Galaxt 1000W
    HD2900 pro

    Hers:
    Antec NSK4000 (with 380w psu)
    asrock 4coreduo VSTA motherboard
    Geforce 7300GT
    E6600 dual core

Mine sounds like a hairdryer!!! hers is dead silent (on min setting)
Mine has a tendancy to crash after a fews hours gaming (although i have clocked it up a bit)
Her E6600 idles at 24c... mine 29c (when i had an E660 in it)

Even with the supposedly better cooling the antec £46 case was better than my £90 NZXT Lexa case with 3 12cm fans a top exhaust etc... and loads quieter...

I take my hat off to antec with this one for a moderate cheap case, that looks good, feels solididly constructed... dosent look cheap and really performs well
