Suggested fan mounts for Yate Loon 120mm and 140mm

Hi i am in the process of constructing a new build for my dad and have purchased three Yate Loon fans for his case.

    1 x 140mm
    2 x 120mm

I spoke to the shop i am purchasing them from and they do not appear to ship with rubber mounts.

i have no experience with these fans and was looking at the Acousti Ultra-Soft Anti Vibration Fan Mounts on ebay to use with the fans.

However in the ebay description it says the fan mounts are not to be used with the 'Rib Type' fan holes:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...%3DI%26otn%3D2

When i have looked at the Yate Loons they appear to be this 'Rib Type' although i found a picture here that displays the same fan with both types:

Am a little confused so any help would be appreciated.

The D12SL-12 Yate Loons I have all originally had closed corners and required modifying to allow soft-mounting with most common fan mounts. Edit: or you could use the longer mounts as Pob255 mentioned.

Looks like it varies depending on the batch/sample.

from "that pic" they are not rib type, they are flange type. (I say that pic because there was a flood of fake yate loons, many of which found there way to retailers and there are probably some still on the market)
A rib type have a single hole front to back, the large "rib" that the hole runs through helps to strengthen the frame, reduce twisting and vibrations.
More common is the flange type where the front and back screw holes are separate.

You need the longer rubber mounts for rib fans.

Get your fans first and see if they are rib or flange then get to correct mounts.

    Thanks to both.

I picked up these mounts from ebay:

    Quite an inexpensive addition.

The retailer (aqua PCs) confirmed that they were the rib type.
