    Svedish computer cases

Just wondering whether anyone has had any experience of working in these cases from Ace? SCAN has them available for pre-order at £30 and £34.80:
    Ecco 220
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ace-e...-e-sata-no-psu
    Ecco 250
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ace-e...proofed-no-psu

They are pretty compact at 187 x 367 x 395mm (7.5 x 14.5 x 15.5in) but quality, one would hope, should be reasonable, I think they look pretty cool and one even has sound proofing. Not entirely sure about the hard drive mounting though. (Manufacturer's vid: http://www.aceofsweden.com/ace/case/...r/ecco220.html )

Anyone used a system like this before - isn't this similar to the Fractal Core 1000?

    Thanks.

Actually it's a nice system, it's not new, fractal design use it in their core1000 mATX case and before that by A+ on the CS-566c http://www.rackmax.de/en/products/ca..._objectID=1236
looks like the ecco220 bezel and the ecco250 frame came straight from the CS-566c.

The double rail used on the cs-566c / ecco250 will get in the way of large cpu coolers, meaning you'd have to remove one rail, long graphic cards will fit however power sockets on the side of cards will get in the way of mounting one hard drive slot on the first rail (you might be able to squeeze and SSD on there instead)

For the cost they look pretty good

Thanks for the link - looks pretty much identical to the CS-566c. Good to know that it has at least been tried and tested. I'll shop around to see who else is stocking them. Probably don't need a massive cooler for this one and SSD's are indeed getting thinner - largely, I assume, to accommodate the ultra book market.

Lol - I am fond of chocolate moose but I don't think my fridge is big enough for one of those.

    Re: Svedish computer cases

I emailed Ace a few days ago to ask what's the max height cooler the 250 can take. Still awaiting a reply , could they have gone to Computex?
