New case mod project

Been ages since I modded a case properly - so picked up a cheap Crystal case (acrylic) from Aria £50 + vat and gonna mod it a bit - leds embedded etc - aluminium LED fans. Started with some mirror film on bottom and the DVD drive - makes the case look bigger

Have ordered some aluminium fans to swap out those blueled fans I had in my box. Have to get some fan grills as well..

May make the DVD bezel from a case blanking plate and put some EL sheet behind it taht flashes with IDE access? After all loads el sheet that no one ever wants to buy

Any ideas welcome - esp if different ..

not bad at all watch out for the dust showing through though!

Shouldn't be too difficult to get some blue acrylic and use it on the drives would add a touch of "individuality" to it

I have some blue acrylic - much deeper blue than the stuff in case - may use that - problem is its only 3mm whilst the front bezel is 8mm and the drive plates are 6mm

damn the hexus crash - that was a way cool mod - had a link to his website with the full process described & photographed too - would look sweet with this lot mate

U cud create a stand for it to sit on with a frosted acrylic top with a CC underneath so it is lit from the bottom up without the harshness CCs add to acrylic cases!

def add led's but if there are any scratches in the surface they show up loads.

I sunk el wire into the front of my v770 and that worked well tho el sheet would work much better!

I'm really not a fan of these acrylic cases. I'd far rather a standard chasis underneath with acrylic panels instead of the steel or aluminium ones to let you see inside. It'd look better IMHO and also be far more practical and sturdy
