Best to start with plastic primer - then you can use alot of different paints.
What colour is it now and what colour do you want it to be. When I've painted plastic before I find plastic primer then high quality car paint works well (only flat gloss - metalic is hard to get good unless your pacient - only done it once well and I used about 8 cans of proper colour with so many coats).
I know alot of people talk about vinal dye but I've never tryed it so cant comment.

er its called "black" but id say more dark grey...i wanna do something metallic maybe,but erm i dunno about colours i like the kustom pc's blue one. but maybe a funky midnight blue / purple maybe.
As unreal said prime it frist, then go down a car shop(sells spray paint) and choose and nice colour you like give it a few coats it should look ok, but for the perfect finish, finish it off with some nice primer
