Cutting a window and not using any lining such as rubber??

Was just wondering how people manage to make cool windows and not then use rubber lining are similar thing due to the fact that the finish is so good?? I want to do a window that uses not such thin just cut the hole and stick the window on and have a nice enough cut so this will look good?

Ideas would be great, been flicking through these forums for ages but never registered, hi to everyone

i cut 2 of my windows with a nibbler and 1 with a jigsaw none have edging, the jigsaw'ed 1 is the rougest even having been file'd and grinded its still rough but its straight, the nibbled ones although they took a lot of hard work to do provided i was looking and what i was doing i ended up with a perfectly straight and even cutout with only a light filing needed.

if you are good with a jigsaw then use that aslong as u use good blades and can ideally clamp the panel down (if u dont it will be very noisey)

how fine are the bits it cuts? And do you first need to drill a guide hole with a drill??

    wow

with the manual nibbler you will need to drill a starter hole iirc.

    they are VERY neat though
