so lets see cheapo case = £30 chepo 500 watt power supply (cheapest I've found was £60) so your 20 over budget and thats with rubbish.

If you want quality, you have to spend the cash, or win it in a hexus comp
    It is Inevitable.....

Hiper are ok, I use their standard range 525W PSU but you will have to splash the cash to get a PSU worth its salt - and as the whole system depends on it you should contemplate this if possible as it is the heart of any PC.

I highly doubt you'll need 500Watts, I'd even doubt you'd push a real 400Watt PSU, you need to think about your power reqirements logically, if you're not sure, post a list of your system components here and the nice folks will help you out with your best options.. if you spend a bit more you'll get a far more efficent PSU and you wont need a 1Kw PSU.. Cheap PSU are notorious for wasting energy. I only buy Tagen PSU's out of principle.

The XG Viper Gaming case come with a 500w PSU. I might not be the look everyones gonna go for but I'm considering it.

The toal price is £67.49 with a bit left for P&P.
    You can find it here.

    Hope this helps.

That would give you more than enough juice to power your machine, £64 on overclockers.co.uk for a quick quote, although you should shop around to find cheaper.

I know you are probably not looking for a case now, but I've just discovered the Silentium range from Arctic Cooling, and they look good, and have a 350W Seatronic PSU. Scan only has the T1, but there are others around.

i'd deffo go with the tagan when u get that 6800gt going and yr full sli rig up and running as its going to be wanting the cleanest supply u can give it. a bit of cash spent sooner can save a lot of heart ache later.

sounds like its gonna be a sweet rig mate
