    Case fans, reducing noise......

This is more a question about reducing vibrations as the fans hardly make any noise on their own...

Just wondering if rubber grommets help that much...?
If so, does anyone know of a supplier or good place to buy some?

Currently Ive got a cloth sitting on my CM201BXT with a 50cd Spindle to add a bit of wieght.... this seems to be absorbing almost all of the vibrations but I'm hoping to get rid of this as a permanent option.

acidrainy - your case vibrates? it really shouldn't at that price.

i do find my case very noisy (but i like as little noise as possible). the 4 case fans that come with the 201 seem pretty loud..

Could you not just bed you fans onto a bead of silicone sealant?? (Bath / window sealant)

Or, and this might work better. Run a bead of silicone round the edge of your fans on the face that will meet the case, wait 24 hours for it to cure (It cures to a nice solid rubbery texture) then mount your fans again. This would do the same job as those fan dampners!

If it don't work, you can just peel it off again!
