Lian Li or Coolermaster Alu' Drive Bezels?

What alumininium drive bezels would best go with a aluminium Coolermaster case? I think I read some where that the Lian Li ones were better. If this is the case are they easy to mod so that they fit a Coolercase? Anyone got a guide to doing this? On the Pioneer 105 DVD writer there seems to be a small breather slot at the front, will this cause problems if its covered by a drive bezel?

What about the floppy drive? I know a lot of people say ditch it its not needed, but I find it very handy for moving small files between home and work. Whats the best way to match it to an Aluminium case? Thanks for any help given

they look a lot better than the stick on ones but do require a hacksaw. oh and will make swopping drives round a little bit (only a little) of a chore.


Though i would say def. go for the lian lis. you won't regret it!

oh btw i won't promise they will fit any case other than a 201 (and obv. a black widow and the other variants)

they are generic - they cover any drive. i've got a lg drive and a sony u12 dvd writer behind mine.

Thats the case I have got, I have even got the cooldrive 3 But because I have a water cooling set up in there I cant fit my dvd writer and dvd player in the top two slots. How did you mod the Lian Li drive bezels to fit? Did you do a write up ?

CM ones look and feel tacky, Lian Li ones are better.

oh, it helps if you have room to move around in 2 drive bays.

and imo the lian lis look better. though down to personal preference. also bear in mind the CMs are stick on, so if you change your drive you're pretty screwed.

Just got my CM Alu drive bezels today, they look schweet! Shame my shuttle hasnt come to go with them tho Id say go for the CM ones!

Could you not mod the button with a piece of alu stuck to the back, to widden it behind the bezel?

Its not supposed to fit exactly - the 3M tape will raise it up so the button has a large "pressing" distance over the drive - unless its not touching the button at all, it should work fine !

As long as you think about the placement of the tape, they'll fit and work with virtually any drive - both my drives (NEC1000A DVD+RW and Asus 52x CDRW) were about 1/4 inch off, but they work fine.

Much better than the original lian li stick ons - bought one of those for my fdd - took it off again - looked terrible.
