I did think about changing the cooler, but the ambient case temp is so high that I can't see much point as the CPU cooler can only work as well as the cases ability to push cooler air past it.

The card max's out at 73 degrees during Call of Duty 2 when everything turned on and maxed out.

I think I'll change all the fans out to Sharkoon 2000's and see how she goes.

well you should think about it effectivly mine has another 120 mm case fan as it sucks in a huge amount of air and is expelled by my psu and smaller case fans, i use silenx fans green led

but serioulsy think about the cpu cooler, i recomend the one i have of scythe ninja, the ones that have thge 120mm fan built in act slightly differntly, mine on the other hand you bolt on and it does a great job. ther are not many better looking cases than the wavemaster so if you can make it work its a must

kustom pcs can put blowholes and things in the case professionally for a cost too, i used dremmel cause i cba to pay for it. but it still looks good but works great

Second vote for the arctic cooling 64 pro. I have a passively cooled 6600GT which really hurts the ambient in the case, but the CPU isn't a worry.

A '64 pro will push the air towards the back of your case, which may help you as well.

Perhaps a similar upgrade to your graphics card heatsink would help there too (someone else would have to come up with a suggestion though)..

The graphics card is water cooled with a huge fan on the water cooler which isn't attached to the card itself, which is a bonus. The fan draws air internally, problem is the ambient air temp is 50+ under load, so its blowing 40-50 degree air over the water cooler.

I'm not sure about a new CPU cooler. The CPU cooler I have is actually fine, it keeps the CPU at 53c maximum. A new cooler or the old one will be faced with the very same issue, the air its using is already 40-50c because cool air isn't getting into the case itself.

The PC is as listed under my avatar, it has allot of devices giving off heat but needs more flow through the case. Not sure a new CPU cooler will do that, its about 1ft diagonally up from the intake fans as it is.

    *edit*

The recommended CPU cooler might help with the movement of air, but getting cooler air in is the overiding problem I have.

how about a fan in the side panel? i have one of those and they work a treat. sometimes, just the fan hole with a gril on is enough to let that heat escape.

Looking at the coolermaster site, I can swap out the top panel for a grill, which I can mount a fan under. At least I can get more exhuast now.
