Which Launch Titles?

I think I'll pretty much be getting Motorstorm, but need a second title. I'm not sure on Resistance, as I am sceptical on how a FPS plays on a console compared to a PC. Not sure I could get the hang of a controller over keyb/mouse.

What others would you recommend?

the real problem with the £425 ps3 is that there really aren't enough exciting launch titles - then again, launch titles rarely are

Motorstorm is a great laugh, I've been playing the Japanese edition for the last few months

RR7 is a steaming turd of a game, you barely feel involved at all, nowhere near as good as the old versions.

I might pick up the UK version of Formula 1, not sure about Genji..

I grabbed Fl0w from the Store last night, which is still as good as ever, along with Tekken Dark Resurrection and Gripshift - the lot coming in at under £25, which is okay

Nothing much else bothers me that much at the moment, but I'll probably grab a couple more blu-ray films (from an online supplier ~£13 ) and maybe a remote..

If you like mech games, id recommend get a cheap copy of Armoured core 4 off ebay or import shops.

A nice thing about the PS3 is the lack of regon locks for PS3 games.

Is that true of the NTSC/PAL divide? I know there's no region locks between the US and Japan, but hadn't yet heard it for the European version - are all consoles fully NTSC and PAL compatible?

I can't say how good a game Resistance is, since I haven't played it, but I wouldn't worry too much about getting the hang of playing FPS on a console; I personally found it pretty easy to transfer across. Most games come with an auto-aim type feature, so as long as you're pointing in roughly the right direction you should be fine.

well i have genji, rr7, mobile suit gundam, armored core 4, motorstorm and f1, and out of the uk launce titles, i would say f1 if you like f1, it really is good, well i think it is, since i like f1! it's pretty hard to tell the whole story with out righting a review for it. Only played resistance demo and it was good but nothing amazing i found. Dont touch rr7 or mobile suit gundam, unless you want to be robbed!
