Xbox live wednesday - New arcade titles

This Wednesday we have ‘Eets: Chowdown’ (800 points) and ‘Pinball FX’ (800 points) hitting the Xbox Live Arcade.

    Thanks, but no thanks.

Bleh, they should really be making these cheaper. IMO, the whole point of XBLA is to make games that require little resources so they've very cheap, e.g. Geometry Wars with it's massive 1 man team.

Sure these games might be expensive to make, but they're really not worth this much money to play.

Not very exciting, and I won't be buying them.

But I will give them credit for being fairly original games - and not just spruced up arcade games running under emulation!

    Not as good as Worms!

Lemmings would be a great addition to the xbox live arcade IMO!

Yeap, but with Sony owning Lemmings (after taking over Psychnosis in the 90s) there's more chance of hell freezing over than Lemmings appearing on the 360!

Must be just me but I think Pinball FX is so cool!

I used to love Pinball games on the PC, I remember years ago on a really old PC where I did the shift keys in after hammering away at a Pinball game (don't remember the name of it but it had the most awesome wild west table!).

Haven't played one in ages but I gotta say, I only tried the trial of Pinball FX and though I've not played a huge amount of Pinball games, this one has to be my best! The vibration is so well done and the ball reacts so well, as close to a real table as I've seen in a game.

The only huge downside is that the trial version is really limited and I don't fancy spending the 800 points to get the full version, only bought Boom Boom Rocket recently. I am tempted mind, I wonder if this game has multiball? Oh how I love a pinball game with multiball.

Yeah I played the demo of Pinball FX I have liked pinball games since I played one on the Amiga and like you the 800 points to buy is putting me off getting it, playing it and this thread have reminded me that there is a pinball game in the games that come with Win Xp....... don't know if the same games come with Vista.

It has multiball Found out during the demo.

PLayed the other new release too, was a fun puzzle game, but again, not worth 800 points IMO.

I'm waiting for Catan and the Sam and Max episodes myself.
