clone wavebirds on Ebay around £12 IIRC
Blimey, didn't realise they were so expensive. My friend's got one, but I'm not sure if he still has his gamecube. I'll try get one off him.
I picked one up new just at the start of the Wii life, as once the main 1st aprty games had been done, I went and got some GCN ones to tide me over, and i found that the cheap generic GCN controllers had a cable that was too short, so wavebird it was!
I think its a great controller... some and some Wii games are flexible enough to be able to use it (MK Wii and Brawl). And I guess it makes a good VC controller (Dont know, havent really got any).
Games wise, i dont really get any more GCN games, but i did get RE4 (before the Wii edition came out), Windwaker, SSX3 and Final Fantasy - basically as many high rated games as possible. I didnt have a gamecube so it was a second chance for me... One day I'll actually get round to playing Wind Waker!!!
Lol, you definately should play wind waker, its really good. I recken that Nintendo would make a killing if they remarked the WaveBird for the Wii since it's as if it was designed to be used with a Wii. Gamecubes are purple yet the make a WHITE wireless controller? Strange don't you think?
My wavebird is silver
NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, GBA, DS, PSone, PS2, PSP, PS3 60gb, XBOX, XBOX 360, Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, PC Engine, Neo Geo CD
Still got the GameCube and its getting used more than ever since I bought a bucket load of games for 99p each

Gamecube still has a lot to offer. I loved Skies of Arcadia.
I haven't had much time to mess around with mine but I still love it. There's just something about it that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside (although that may be the after effect of that vindaloo). I really should hunt down the component cable (my GC has the required input at the back) as it looks way too pixelated on the 37" HDTV. Currently have with it:
All RE games
The Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Collectors Edition
Viewtiful Joe 2
Also looking to pickup more Mario games, Eternal Darkness and Pikmin (have some in my local games shops but they are all in shoddy condition).
Bought mine at launch, but when I finally got my Wii, it was donated to my sister who never plays it as far as I know (she was playing Windwaker on it a while back but...) I picked up a wavebird for about £13 from CEX to use with my Wii (for Gamecube games) and never regretted it, but I saw the other day that at least one branch of Game was apparently flogging Gamecubes for a fiver! FIVE POUNDS! Poor thing, whilst I would never say it was my favourite console, it was the first I bought with my own money and I had a lot of good times - it never really got the recognition or support it deserved.
I still love my GC as well. I love the fact it's small and cube shaped. There's still loads of games I'd love to play more of. There's just no time. And I've got a Wii of course ;-)
Does anyone know where I could buy Tales of Symphonia? My local Game and Gamstation don't have it and play.com charge a rediculous £50!
They keep selling them off for nothing in gamestation and the like, £10 inc a controller brand new if you keep an eye on places like hotukdeals. A lad i know who works at gamestation said they offer 50p trade in lol.
Wavebirds are ace though, got a couple hooked up to the wii!
