    Ps3 Online Help (Newb Alert)

So I got a PS3 <woot!> and I am desperate to get the thing online

    Here's my set up:

MAC connected on the 2nd floor via Cable Modem

PS3 on the 1st floor (not connected, obviously)

I can't trail a cable. I'm totally not bothered about having the two online at once.

My proprities are cost first, ease of setting the darn thing up second.

    Thanks.

    Welcome,

    Two main options:
    1. Buy a wireless router for the Mac and spread the internet love around the house to the PS3
    2. Buy a set of Homeplug adapters and share the net via wall sockets (better speed and reliability)

    Something like these:

    Wonderful.

Now then, for the Home Plugmathingy, do I need a router?

And are they all compatible with Mac, or do I have to look for one wot says it is?!

No, just share the internet connection from your Mac

They dont require any software/drivers, so MAC compatability shouldn't be a problem

The Hexus review of the devolo adapters states:
"No drivers have to be installed and there's no absolute need even to install the supplied software - whether running Windows, Linux or Mac OS"

"We didn't have a Mac available but have little doubt that things would have worked equally well under Mac OS X."
