has anyone downloaded this off the US store yet? If so does it work on UK PS3's?
Reading the US forums and all people are saying is that its fab! (Though they managed to find time away from the game to post this information...)

Yup, and yup

Awesome fun, was playing it until nearly 1am

The whole player on foot > vehicle > plane thing is really seamless, and even on a 32 player server, there's literally *no* lag, brilliant, brilliant stuff

PS, I rock with both the sniper rifle, and the missile turrets

Is there any point waiting and getting the Disk version? (Ive seen it for pre-order for 29.99) Comes with a bluetooth headset.. but I would have to wait.. and by then everyone would be 'Uber'... <Sigh>

Apparently the Jabra bluetooth headset isn't all that great (it retails for $20 apparently), you do miss out on a few odds and ends that are on the disc, and don't have the physical media, but I can't say I've really missed it

There's a very nice difficulty scale in the game (the warhawks are a bit tricky to master, but it's a progression thing ), but noobs are well catered for, even in the mad 32 player maps

Played this last night, WOW! Was GREAT fun, though seems either lots of people don't have headsets or are very quiet...

I have a bluetooth Headset, which I can pair with the PS3. Havn't figured out how to actually use it in the game tho

There's quite a few of the Americans with headsets, pretending to be Army personnel.. "Cover me! Cover me!" "We need air support at the main bridge" "We're taking heavy flak over here, take out that gun turret!" etc, which is always a chuckle

The biggest problem I have with Warhawk at the moment?

All the ranked servers are constantly full

If anyone hasn't really checked the game out yet and doesn't know if they're going to get it, you should check out the website. its (the predictably named) www.warhawk.com. Its got some good in game footage of the actual playing and the trailer is pretty good. Its actually got some great minigames, the flying one and thejeep one are pretty good (but the parachute one is basically impossible, dunno what they were thinking with that).
tbh if you already have the game check it out anyway I guess but if you havn't decided whether to get it or not its useful.

Talk about deep end. Just tried it out, my guy just spawned and I am running around like a mad thing! Didn't even know which side I was on. Couldn't see any tutorials or anything to help you get going at all. Big learning curve. Shoot me if you see me while you can! No actually don't.
