Skate anyone?

I haven't seen (m)any threads about skate at all in hexus. It's a fantastic game, even if you're not into skating. The controls offer a great sense of satisfaction when you have come to master them and the game actually has a learning curve, unlike the feeble button-masher that Tony Hawk's games are.

Don't get me wrong, used to own and love every Tony Hawk game made, but after playing skate it just seems to backwards playing those games. I gave up on the Proving Grounds demo after half a minute.

Anybody else been enjoying this game? If you have an XBL account I'd highly recommend taking a look at the demo and see if you get hooked!

Yeah - it's a good game but many people are bypassing it as they think it's just another "EA" rehash of tony hawks.

The controls took me ages to pick-up. For the first 2 hours I was crashing, falling all over the place and getting pummelled by moving traffic all the time.

I took my console to my mates the other weekend and he spent nearly all the weekend playing and mastering the controls on Skate. I've a cracking video of a grab + twist flip I've done and should really get it uploaded to the web.

Yup a very very good game, i'm a skater and hated tony hawks with a passion, i've been playing this for the last month(on my ps3) and it's spot on. I have won x games and just opend up danny way's skating compund . Also loving the video at the beginning, rob + big black funny sh*t.
