Disc Cannot be Read Problems with 360

Well Im having some problems with my 360 Elite, only bought at christmas.

Every game I have at one point or another is getting the This Disc cannot be read message popping up and a restart of the 360 is needed. Sometimes after only 5 minutes of playing, sometimes Ive played for hours!

Worst so far has to be Lost Odyssey, bought yesterday and cant really do anything because of the errors. Forza 2 seems to be the best, barely ever gets the error.
Some of my discs are scratched, and yeah COD4 is really bad, and gets the error often, but in another console, worked fine!

Looked around the net and found some results but not loads.

Think Im going to have to send it for a repair, and GTA IV arrives tomorrow...im going to cry

How long does it take for them to get it back to you?

Needs new monitor / speakers / headphones / keyboard.
Before that i need money :s

Mine took around 15 days from calling them to getting it back, though from what I've heard that's pretty fast.

Re: Disc Cannot be Read Problems with 360

Turn around time is about 2 weeks at the moment. It's come down a great deal in the last few months from the 4-5 weeks it once was. My last repair took 17 days, but that was over the easter period.

Re: Disc Cannot be Read Problems with 360

I'm very tempted to part ex my 360 and get a ps3, I'm fed up with all the dirty disk errors I keep getting, it can't be a dirty lense as I keep cleaning it and the disk is clean...it's soooo frustrating!

It would also be nice to be able to play a game and not have the volume on the tv set to granny volume due to the machine sounding like a jet engine.
