PS3 game regions

Hi fellow hexers

Of to USA shortly

Am i right in thinking that games i buy there like MGS4 and maybe Time Crisis 4 etc

will play on my PS3 at home in UK

or are they region coded/

I've noticed there is a 2 on the back of my Fifa 08

any help would be appreciated as im flying Sun

PS3 games are totally region free, only blu ray movies carry encoding.

The games are region free... however they are locked for online... so when you play online using a USA copy... you can only play people with a USA copy... etc

Thats not correct for every game in my experience.

I thought all online console gaming was 'region free'. 80% of those I meet online seem to be American...?

I know army of two is locked, even on 360.
