My 20 gig Hard Drive only shows 13 gig free.

So I took advantage of the refurbed hard drive and xbox live upgrade for Arcade system owners and it arrived today but my hard drive is only displaying 13 gigs free despite me formatting and removing all the crap that was on it. What's going on?

It would seem that it's only meant to have 13 gig available to the end user, what on earth are they using the other 7 gig for, especially since my Arcade system worked fine with just a 512mb card? Is there anyway of getting rid of the xbox emulation crap apparently it takes up 4 gigs?

No. Are you really in need of that much space?
