new drive is slayers still okay to use

Hi drive went on my xbox years ago, pulled it out of the attic and am ready to put a new drive in so what is the best software to use on it (its chipped) it will be used mainly as a media centre?
    Thanks

Xbox Media Center is a good option. There is a skin which makes it look akin to the old 360 dashboard if you want it to look similar. Think this whole topic though might be stepping over the line on the forum rules front though.
