    Street Fighter IV Pads

Further to Steve's post about making a custom pad I thought it might be best to post in here

Anyway it looks as though SCAN will be stocking "some" of the pads however I thought I would see in here which ones are more popular

The pads can be viewed here:

    http://store.gameshark.net/brand/sfiv.htm

Let me know which ones you prefer and I shall request our purchasing team to get them set up on the system

Hmm... nobody want the arcade stick controllers then?

    That's strange...

    Re: Street Fighter IV Pads

I can't really decide... IMO the Blanka one looks best but i'll be damned if i'm buying a pad with him on it lol.

I'd vote for Ken or Akuma tbh.

Any news about the fightsticks ? Although they're rather expensive !..... maybe the Hori ones ? Since they're cheaper but seem to be rather hard to get a hold of .

    Re: Street Fighter IV Pads

Definitely interested in one of the fightpads (although £35 seems quite pricey!) and I'd go for the Ken one, given the choice.

Has anyone played with one of these yet? I'm hoping that it'll be something like the Japanese Sega Saturn controller as that was always my favourite for playing Streetfighter-style games...

    Re: Street Fighter IV Pads

I'd take a Ryu pad providing I could pay and reserve it in advance ... and get one from the first batch
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

    Re: Street Fighter IV Pads

Id like one, but some of the prices online are a bit too high, £75 for an arcade stick.

Agreed £35 for a gamepad is a bit steep when you spend £30 on the game too

Id like the Chun-Li or Ryu one

You can try slapping me but you are more than welcome to try. I love a good fight

    EDIT:

In SF4 of course When I get my Sanwa (just for you AirCorp ) stick

DoW2 is out though so SF4 will be a while yet for me.

    Re: Street Fighter IV Pads

If my Dictator, Boxer or Ken really takes hold, and it looks like I'm going to be giving it some serious hours on XBL, I'll probably drop the £150.

Probably get one of the 'fight pads' as a stop gap from Scan though, in the mean time.

If you do get the daddy of all sticks for it, do you mind dropping a review of it on here to see if its worth the 150?

    Re: Street Fighter IV Pads

There was a really nice (and long) feature (video) all about SF4 from 1up i believe. They had some "pro's" from SF2 and SF3 demonstrating some new features and how the gameplay had changed a bit. There was a brief section near the end saying how both the MadCatz sticks were really good and the Tournament Edition was only better because it was heavier and less clicky but otherwise they felt very similar.

    i'll try find it somewhere

    EDIT:

    found
