xbox 360 elite guarentee/warrentee

Hi,

I have just bought a xbox 360 elite off of ebay and i was wondering if anyone knows how long the guarentee is for them as it is a year old.

The seller thinks it has a 2 year one and i read somewhere that xbox's have 3 years?

It will still be covered for RROD for another 2 years, but the standard warranty that covers the DVD drive and pretty much every other component lasts a year and therefore has run out.

o rite ok thanks so was true what i read. How will i know when/if it is RROD? And if it is that do i just ring them up?

Ring up the helpline, they'll send UPS to collect it at your chosen time.

My Elite packed up last night after hanging during an install of Fallout 3.... had just bought the game as well....

AND i won't be able to play sf4 on launch day...

Being a uni student and all i can't really afford to buy another 360... i'm annoyed that i can't play mine (especially Fallout 3 ¬.¬) but ultimately it's a good thing since i spend too much time on it compared to time spent doing assignments lol

i hear the latest 360's (elite's and normal i think) have supposedly been cleared of the RROD problem. So, if your 360 does pack in, if you choose to get another one, it should never have the RROD problem.
