I don't know if it's possible or not, but you would definitely need 2 migration cables as they are single use only.
Unless you wanted to void your warranty and open the drives up to transfer the data via a PC that is.
You'd be able to migrate (using the cable) from one of the smaller drives to the 120GB drive. As far as I'm aware, the target drive gets wiped before the contents from the source are tranferred. Those cables aren't single use either - I've reused mine without problems.
Since all DLC (maps, packs, add-ons, whatever) you buy is assigned to the buyers gamertag, you'll both be able to download that stuff again to the new drive - or at least one of you will since the other will have their DLC transferred during the migration process. In any case, you always have access to download the stuff you've bought.
oh right so i wont have to rebuy anything if i have already paid for it?
Exactly, just go into download history and the jobs a good un. Grab a memory card to copy whoevers save games across
No they aren't
We lend ones out to work that have bought a larger hdd for their xbox, so gone and bought a new 120 or 60gb without. The new V2 cables (supporting 20-60) are pretty popular and have lent mine out a fair few times already
the transfer formats the new hdd before....so you wouldn't be able to AFAIK, best bet is to do one transfer then use a memory card to move them over, longer but safer
That's good to know - all the marketing material for the cables state they are single use - I guess what they actually mean is that your 20gb drive gets blanked at the end of the process.
an Xsata might do the job as it sits between your xbox and the HDD and you can then copy everything over to your PC before sticking the xsata on your new HDD and copying everything back (I'd still use the transfer cable to move the one profile over first though).
I have heard they (xsata) can be a bit annoying to use, and I haven't used one myself but I think it may be easier in the long run than moving save games over by memory card (if you can, I had problems moving some of my brothers saves onto a memory card after he bought his elite).
