Wipeout HD update today sometime.

If anyone still plays this one (I do!) there's quite a big update due today sometime including online ranking and friends private games etc.

As an aside...don't update just yet as it seems to freeze peoples systems.

It caused mine to freeze during the autosave at launch. Apparently there's a workaround - log out of psn then start the game and go online. Once it pops up the new patch details and autosaves, all should be well.

Yep, i used the workaround too..amazing they missed this isnt it.

Does this patch combine the 1 billion individually generated save files into a single one by any chance?

Sadly not, but if you didn't already know you can change the save folder view by hitting square i think. It should display a single folder for each game then, which is much easier to navigate. I only bothered with the profile save when backing up as the rest are just time trial ghosts etc, which are separate to make it easy to share with others I guess.

Ah cool, didn't think of the square trick! Can you then copy the entire selected folder by pressing triangle?

Added quite a bit really...badges etc at the end of each race..new ranking system too..plus improvements in multiplayer menu system too.
