360 no display/output.. given up the ghost?

Okay this is not meant to be another 'oh know my 360 has died' just a quick bit of advice if you will!

My Xbox 360 was working fine no problems. I used it one morning everything was fine, came to turn it on in the evening and my TV initially said 'mode not supported' but now I just get 'no signal'. I have a Samsung LCD and the xbox is hooked up via component.

    So initially I've tried:
    - Different cable (I also have the vga connector) but this gave the same 'no signal'.
    - I've also tried resetting the display settings to the default by holding 'Y' and right trigger upon boot (which the xbox does do).
    - Different display/monitor.

But all these failed to work.

Main question, any other ideas anyone would recommend trying?
Any possible suggestions to the cause?

Also I do not get any red lights at all and everything is green as normal.
    Thanks.

How long you had it? Sounds like the output has gone.

Quite awhile! I had one from launch then that died after about ~16months and this current one is the replacement.

Is it easily fixable? Or should I just cut my losses?

I phoned up Xbox Support about this I've got the same issue and also a launch console. If your out of warrenty it will be £80 to fix, its hard to decide for me whether to get a new 360 arcade or to send it off for repair.

Fixed the same problem on a friends console by swapping out the xclamp,
worked for a further month and a half till it died completely.

Always worth a try fixing it but don't hold your breath that it will last.

£80?! That's hurrendous considering a new basic console is around £120! ..Probably just worth getting a new one/second hand if that's the case etc.

Think I'm going to give this a go; don't have anything to lose considering warranty is out!
    Thanks for replies.

Yeah, opting now over a weeks worth of thought to get a new Jasper arcade today, hopefully Game or HMV will be happy to ensure I get a Jasper by looking at the voltage output.

Most XBoxs now are Jasper, I got mine from Play a few months ago, a 60Gb and it was a Jasper. But hopefully if you want to be 100% sure then yeah go into the shop and have a look at the voltages.
