Final Fantasy XIV (14) MMORPG

Well having found the official website, it seems that Square/Enix are going back to an MMORPG. Not much information to go by at this moment in time. Website has the same video as shown at the Sony E3 briefing, with some more screen shots, but no in game from what i've seen so far.

So can Square/Enix pull this off? FFXI was pretty successful for them, with the game still going, which is more than can be said for some other MMORPG's, and across 3 different platforms.

*meh* I never liked MMOs of any sort, maybe because I resent my existing direct debits too much and don't want to add to them

If I remember rightly, isn't FFXI older than WoW?

Think the MMORPG players have all found a game that suits them, whether it's WoW, Eve etc, so I hope they can offer something new and exciting to drag people away from the already established games. I mean, why jump ship to a WOW clone if you're happy where you are?

wont be touching it with a stick love my FF games but i drop in and out of games and having to have a subscription running just wouldn't work for me, i pay for my xbox gold for a year at a time but thats it.

will ff15 be released on ps3 then?

always at least 2 main FF games released on the same console...
In the sense that the main games on:
PSX = FF7, FF8 and FF9
PS2 = FF10, FF12 (FF10-2 is not a main game)
PS3 = FF13, FF15??
