    ODST Leak

One of the sites i go on has this ready for download (albeit in french) - these early releases is what makes piracy so tempting, anyone think MS will push the release date forward ?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: ODST Leak

Pretty sure mods will stamp on this topic very soon.

I heard it's an instantaban for anyone who goes online after they've played it offline.

Good for me that I've never played any of the Halo series, nor do I own a 360.

Yeah because they can check discs and they know who has what

It won't be pushed forward, it will ruin the Thanksgiving/Xmas game rush if they do.

    Re: ODST Leak

I don't intend on stamping on the thread, personally I couldn't care less what Microsoft choose to do as the Halo franchise really doesn't interest me greatly but I suppose it merits as much discussion as any other bit of gaming news this week. So long as nobody starts bragging about how they've downloaded it or posts links to copyrighted material there'll be no problem

Sorry it was, was missing the rolling eyes there.

What they can do though is check which version the console is registered to, including country etc (and if needed IP etc (there is a LOT of your console info that can be found when you go online with it)) if you play it on Live.

I think it's safe to assume if you DON'T live in France, ARE playing the game online they would probably assume you're playing a dodgy copy of the game and could ban you (Not sure (although I have a very good idea) of how the hardware checking works and if I did I wouldn't be explaining it to anyone else outside of MS)

Personally... I would wait to release, especially if the game isn't in English (I play some Japanese games that I have imported...but only as a real last resort as you lose a lot of the story and depth if you can't make out what is going on in cutscenes/in game dialog)

They probably can, seeing as your achievement list records when games were last played and that communicates with live... so they can probably go back further than that!

There is a lot of information they can take from your xbox when connecting to live (such as knowing if youve got a pirated game, changed FW etc) and even the pirates say that the only way not to get caught is not to pirate.

Agreed, that's how they'll do it

Is ODST the game that has all the Halo 3 Mappacks, etc?

AFAIK the only way they can tell is if you see you 'playing' the game before it is released.

..some random dude posted this on another forum, no idea how true it is, don't own a 360.

"Playing the game will remove stealth and cannot be repaired. So if you go on live, you will get ban! Use an offline account that never goes on live.

Also - if your using an unbanned console with an offline profile - do not keep it in the drive after finishing - put another disk in and boot it up to remove the data.

It will send to the XBL servers from the secdata info stored in the console for the last played game"
Do some people really find it that hard to wait? It's wait or get banned!
