She already has Wii fit. Hinted that an upgrade would be nice. She mentioned (in passing) Wii fit+ and something by EA games.
What do people like best ?

The EA Active Sport is really good, my wife has it and it REALLY gives you a good workout, you get resistance bands in the box with it to use in the game also. The EA Active game also supports the Balance Board you get with the origional Wii Fit.
Another decent one to look at is the Wii version of Biggest Loser (not the DS one as it is mainly recipes and things like that) it is also cheaper than EA Active.
Wii Fit plus is just more the same as the first release. If she is wanting something that will be used for a decent workout EA Active or Biggest Loser is the way to go. They are more adult orientated also.
me and the missus got a wii & wii fit + this weekend, she absolutely LOVES it, theres alot of game catagories but the a Yoga section and Muscle section which are actual exercises (not games)
i think its amazing, granted it made my Mii a BIG FAT GUY which im not but the actual activities are really good. personally i think its more fun based but the motions really help in everything.
ive been looking into EA too and hope it as good as Wii fit+

I go to the gym six days a week an still enjoy it, my girlfriend is just naturally slim (bitch) but it's a different kettle of fish than going to a gym- it's alot more fun based which to anyone planning on losing weight is a good start, it manages routines for you tellin you how much weight you've lost/ calories burnt and besides: it's especially good for those too self conscious of going to the gym.

Great answer... I feel extremely ignorant now....
But I agree with you on that totally. I can understand how some people would be insecure to go to the gym. I used to be overweight (5 years ago), but now I go to the gym 5 times a week, and yeah pretty satisfied with my body at the moment (always room for improvement though).
I didn't know that it tells you how much calories you've burnt and what not though... that's good! I can see how that would motivate people to continue using it. It's always a great motivator to see that you've achieved something!
Maybe I will Wii? haha.

Maybe some people just can't afford gym membership? Or wouldn't use it often enough to get value for money?
Maybe they prefer the Wii option because they're pushed for time and can get in a bit of exercise, at home, with the time implications of actually going to a gym. After all, half an hour (be it a Wii, or a pushbike, or a rowing machine in your spare bedroom, or whatever) is better than nothing and it would take me longer than half an hour just travelling to and from the gym.
Or maybe they do go a gym, but just like a bit of casual fun as well. Friends of mine spent upwards of a £350k on an indoor pool and home gym. In fact, they spent about £30k on a sound and multimedia system for the gym and pool. And still like messing about on the Wii.
It takes all sorts, and there's all sorts of reasons.
there is a salsa game that is really good i cant remeber what its called though
Can I be the first to say 'TTIUWP!' ?
Thank-you & good-day.
