    Sky on Xbox 360?

Anyone know how this works? Sounds interesting, its over broadband right?

I cant get a Sky dish, but i'd love to get the Extreme Sports channel from Sky, this could work

    Re: Sky on Xbox 360?

It works over broadband and you must have an xbox live gold account. You sign up for it on your PC then put your login details in on the console and it stores them. Chanel line up is quite poor at the but no doubt it will improve. You dont have to have a sky tv sub already, you can get just skyplayer for the 360

Only thing that bugs me at the min is that when watching live tv especially sky1 and gold the licenses havnt been setup yet by sky and things like the simpsons cant be watched yet. It will get sorted though soon no doubt.

Yeah, you get less for your money than the normal Sky TV sub. The on demand stuff makes it worth having though, the list of movies alone is pretty big

    Re: Sky on Xbox 360?

Anyone know why i can't watch the history channel on the sky player using the xbox 360?? I have a sky account and watched the latest episode of LOST. But when I clicked on the History channel it said I had not subscribed to that :| I could watch live sky 1, sky news, G.O.L.D but not the History or National Geographic.

I can watch the history channel and National Geographic etc on my tv downstairs.

ediy: Do I have to make the xbox my main device??? As my laptop is the main device at the moment. Also noticed on the sky player web site it says this when I want to watch a History program: "This programme is only available FREE to Sky TV Knowledge Pack subscribers." How can I watch it down stairs on my tv but not on my laptop or xbox 360??

ediy: Think I have found out the answer! When I set up sky player I used my name but the sky card number etc, maybe I need this payment account?

    Re: Sky on Xbox 360?

i think you still have to make an account on the Sky website so you can link your subscription with the account. Then sign n with the account on the 360.

    Re: Sky on Xbox 360?

You have to either have Sky broadband, or multiroom, along with the Sky movies package on your main sky package I believe.
