    GT5 'Track creator' and Karts.

    Link.

Just like Forge mode then, obviously a full on track creator would of been desirable

The guy playing it drives like a complete douchebag though - may have to pick up a wheel when this drops though.

In what way do you find them amazing? The lighting for the cars is nice, but the rest all looks a bit flat - shadows are horribly jaggy in the cockpit, on track shadows are hard, the lighting for the cars doesn't match that for the track, so they look odd and the spectators and trees look a bit like cut outs. The replay mode looks like it'll apply some nice post-processing I guess.

Can't wait to see it in motion to see if it gets around some of those problems by being more fluid.

As above, GT screens always look nice. When you come to playing it though the flatness creeps out

Re: GT5 'Track creator' and Karts.

I think there's no question that this game will be visually good.

But the replay mode and the photo mode are not representative of actual gameplay. Which is most of the footage we've seen.

When you see images like this

    And videos like this
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RCPKhwHH8g

It's easy to go wow, but that won't be what the gameplay is like.

Most of the ingame shots of actual racing are from reporters filming on thier phones aswell so it again doesn't show it's best. But it's in no way coming close to the replay or photo mode.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paLR8...eature=related

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLLG5...eature=related

No question it's gonna be a good game, but doesn't seem ot be groundbreaking the the visuals department.
I don't mind being proved wrong when i load the game up in November though

Sure, but that's not representative of gameplay graphics is it? That's a replay after it's been through additional post-process.

I imagine that is what it'll look like as although the cars look nice verything else looks like it comes straight from an n64 game.
