Xbox dashboard update

Hi all,

Anyone any idea when the dashboard update will be available? My Xbox did a fairly large update today and though it might be the new dashboard, but ended up not being. Could possibly have been a pre dash update update if you know what I mean!

This is a general system maintenance update and there are no new features that will show up once your system has been updated.

This doesn't directly help you, but I'm in the beta for the new dash update and it arrived last night.

I obviously can't say too much about it due to an NDA, but I really like it so far.

I don't think it will be too long until the full public release.

it should be coming before the end of December, i'm currently in the beta what i can say so far is that the overal performance is much better than nxe dash. It's quicker and better efficient to join your friends in similar games. With the added use of beacons & activities section that allows you to see which games your friends have playing recently and currently.

NitrousX, have they moved the quick launch menu item back to the first screen of the guide menu?

Always seems weird that they'd make you scroll around a bit to open a feature that's there to make it so you don't have to faff around!

i have checked the dash and the quickplay menu still appears in the games tab. Quite a pain people on the xbox live update forums have complained about it but it seems that it will stay like that for sometime.

no problem anyway you guys will not have to wait any longer the dashboard to come out 6th December. I still have to be a bit tight lipped on some features until you guys receive the update due to T&C nda contract

Cloud storage is working well and is about the only addition that I actually like. Apart from that, I think it's a step back.

If the browser is to stay, it needs rethinking. It's pretty useless at present.
