For Super Smash Bros Brawl, is it better to use Gamecube controllers or Wii controller?
I am going to get SSBB tommorrow, so I want to know is it better to use Gamecube cntrollers or the Wii controller

If you've still got them to hand Gamecube controllers are FAR superior

My son plays this game all the time.... he says the (official Nintendo not Logic 3 - eeeew) Game Cube controller too.
I can use either... it's not like you need many buttons for SSB:B

I agree, tried playing with the Wii controller and it was a nightmare. Controls just seem to be set up better on the old Game Cube controller!

Gamecube controller FTW. Feels like pure torture playing with a wii mote.

use c-stick to bash out quick smash hits (and z makes it so much easier to grapple!!)

Looks pretty unanimous already there doesn't it!

But yeah, I used to play that game a lot and we actually used the wiimote as a handicap when players were doing too well! It's easier to dodge, block, grapple, smash - everything on the GC controller! Plus, you get more taunts.

Having said that, I do know one person that prefers nun-chuck + wiimote over GC controller, you never know till you try - you might be strange too.

gamecube controller are so much better... if not then use the Wii with the nun-chuck and only if you dont have nunchuck then use controller on its own.. its terrible to try and play against someone with a gamecube controlller with a wii stick... cant move or hit or do anything well..

If you can find the Wii gamepad that works really well I've found.

If i had the choice, probably the Gamecube controller, but the Wii Remotes seem to work equally as well.

Gamecube controllers are great. But if you're going to play on 3DS too ever, they'll spoil you!

for the wii you can better use a gamecube controller, since they have a better userinterface for better control.
or use the classic controller for wii

I know this thread is OLD but still... I recently picked up the new Wii U Controller Pro and was actually really impressed by it. A proper controller for proper games. No idea why it took them so long to realise they needed it!
