Exclamation PS3 to Moniter w/ DVI to HDMI Adapter.

    Hello,
I am trying to get my PS3 to display on my Benq 20 inch GL2030 monitor. I connect the DVI to HDMI adapter, to the back of my monitor and run a HDMI cable out of the adapter end to my PS3. I also have the PS3 connected to a old T.V with the original AV multi cord you get with the PS3. I then look at my old T.V as a change the Video Output Settings to HDMI. The old T.V screen goes blank but the monitor does not show any type of image. After the 30 seconds the signal goes back to original settings and I get the images back on the old T.V. I have tested the HDMI and the adapter running off of a HDMI port on my laptop and it works fine. Here my monitor specs.

Benq GL2030 20 inch 1600x900 HDCP SUPPORT (the benq website says so)

Your help would be greatly appreciated

Is the PS3 putting out a resolution that the monitor can't handle? I think if you press the on/off button down for 10 secs, this resets the video, and the image should appear on the monitor.

I don't see any sign that this monitor supports HDCP.

The PS3 should happily output a compatible resolution (1280x720) using an HDMI to DVI adapter, but will not work with any digital display without HDCP. Or you find and buy a (dubiously legal) box which can strip the HDCP signal from the PS3 and make it work.

Well, I still can't post links yet because I'm a noob, so try the Benq Canada website. It say in the specs tab that HDCP is "yes"
