The Last of Us - Initial thoughts

I think the last of us fits the description of a console seller, people should buy a ps3 just to play this game, when I played it back in June I knew that before Grand Theft Auto 5 even came out, that the last of us was game of the year without a shadow of a doubt

Rather starting a new thread, I'll just post here. I came across this The Last of Us Remastered PS4 bundle on Amazon UK. Looks like a slight saving on buying them in a bundle. I couldn't find this bundle on Amazon US though for some reason.

Edit: Multiplayer DLC is coming also.

Never got to play the PS3 version but do have the PS4 version pre-ordered (£30 from Gamestop!) and looking forword to playing it at the end of the month

Really looking forward to the Remastered edition, although I have to admit I'm disappointed that it seems to have been revealed that 60fps lock isn't going to be 100% achievable throughout as there is going to be a 30fps option (most likely to cut down on tearing when the rate varies)

The 30fps lock will enable extra graphical features such as improved shadows. 60fps is the default option:

Interesting, it's kind of compensation for not being able to lock at 60 I suppose, nice to see them use what juice they do have in whatever situation possible, that is the Naughty Dog way they are used to doing that IMO look at what they achieved on the PS3's aged hardware with the original version!

Well I decided to take the plunge and have gone for the PS4 with "The Last of Us" Remastered bundle from Amazon UK for £369.99. I may get an XBox One in the years to come, when they have redesigned it at least and there are some games I want to play on it.

I recently finished the main campaign and really enjoyed it. I've been having a go at the multiplayer and that's also pretty good as its at a nice, thoughtful pace rather than the frenetic run and gun games al la CoD etc.

On that subject I'm gonna start a thread to see who's on here that might want to team up as I don't know any of my mates that have a PS4 yet.

My PS4 + TLOU bundle should be arriving today.. well hopefully anyway (come on Amazon!). I want to get my teeth into TLOU tonight ideally.
Good idea with the multiplayer thread george, I imagine they'll be quite a few players online after looking at this article on vgchartz. It sold 632K in the first week and PS4 sales have jumped 50%!

i was playing infamous but got really really bored of it very quickly.

I loved it and got the DLC for PS3. But I think I'd want to play it on the PS4. Hopefully that same DLC can work on the PS4...

One of the greatest games of all time almost had me in tears at the end!
