xbox360, can i use a vga splitter for dual displays?

    hi there,

sorry if this has been asked before,i have two ag neovo 19" lcd monitors and im currently using 1 of them with my xbox 360 with a vga cable, what i want to know is can i use the other 1 and have dual displays if i buy a vga splitter or vga y cable?

please someone answer if you know becouse ive searched everywhere and i cant find anything to do with xbox360 and dual displays(maybe its how im phrasing it),my freind said it should be possible and theoretically i dont see why not either but im amazed i cant find any threads anywhere in which people have tried and suceeded or tried and failed when it comes to dual displays and xbox360.

    thanx.

dual displays in what sense? make it so one of the screens can flip between the 360 and a second pc display? yes - you need a vga switch box. make it so the xbox does 2-screen? no, it doesn't do 2-screen.

yes i want to display the same thing on both monitors, ive seen the vga “Y” splitters on ebay for just a few pounds now these are designed for graphics cards with only 1 output yet it still splits the signal so you can use two monitors, “obviously both displaying the same image all the time” so why cant it be done by xbox360 when thats probably a very similar graphics setup to most single output cards?

i cant believe that no1 has actually posted anything online anywhere regarding this i thought that thousands of people worldwide wud have tried this as dual displays is better than 1 single imho and surely i cant be the only person whos thought about it.

any more hints, tips, info wud be greatly appreciated.

    thnx.

    vga is vga

if all you want is two identical outputs, then yes, you should be fine with a y-splitter

bearing in mind that there might be undervolting issues doing things like that (i.e. usually you'd get a powered video splitter)
