Talking Unreals A2 Level & Art Foundation Artwork (LOTS of pics)

In reference to this post; http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=60990

I have now got more work I will this time keep sketchbook/larger work in a different thread since it's been some years since I last posted my art up here so I can avoid obliterating this thread with too many images. Just to keep in mind on my lil bio, I'm a 19 yr old art student and I'm going here next month so I've now made this my main thing. I still don't do art outside of school though as free time is where I chase up my music hobby .

Before I start, I must say that some of the drawings/paintings contain nudity and I know the board says no profanity or nudity but I assume that relates more directly to photography. Photobucket has resized all the images to 800x600 which I assume is the best balance between image quality and OMG THE IMAGES ARE TAKING OVER MY PAGE. =D

    Also if you would like any of the pictures, I would be glad to sell them for what you think they're worth... I still have to finish paying for the rest of my laptop for Uni after all ;_;

    Now lets go;

Life drawing where we had to be a bit creative with colours

We made these huge paper structure thingys then we had to paint them with ink :/

Quick ink & brush life painting

Life drawing of a... curvier... woman

    Quick life drawing

Same woman posed twice for the same picture... I wanted a really moody dripping tone with this which was quite fun to do, water and ink everywhere

    Another ink life drawing

I didn't really like this one

I made this for a musician but he's busy at the mo so I can't send it to him :,<

Face of Keri Hilson, stencil spray

    HOLY CRAP IT'S JESUS lol

One of my fav spraypaints, I just love the style of the drips...

Purely a test but thought I would take a pic anyway

Test out of an overspray on the Jesus stencil

Overspray test on a Keri Hilson stencil

    Test of sprays of ink

Jesus stencil, looks quite cool if you have black/white paper backing

Re: Unreals A2 Level & Art Foundation Artwork (LOTS of pics)

Practise element to see if we understood the dynamics of what we were drawing

From AS Level but not quite sure if I posted it...

Life drawing with excessive lines and edges

One of my exam prep pieces, goddamn that car is so beautiful

Unfinished biro-pen drawing of some bottles, cloth, against a mirror etc.

Drawing I made in my own style of a plant with a felt pen. Originally we were supposed to do a two tone drawing of some sort of plants but I ended up doing this style and the teacher was happy with it so off I went lol

    Black to white printing

    Black red and blue print... the whole print represents "Poison The Sea, Poison Me", which was a class project to make a print that highlights how the corruption of the oceans via waste not only damages sea life but also will come back to hurt us. I had a couple of cool ideas, the best one I had was this giant hand coming out of the ocean drasping a fish to death in its clasp... but I didn't finish it ;_;

Quick random thing I did of me, just a random idea

I reckon this is really nasty, but its a diluted marker pen drawing (yes, diluted markers, you draw with those fat markers and get a wet brush and you know the rest <_<) of some sort of feather

Another version of that work for the artist

Since Timbaland is one of the most "rebellious" and inginuitive musicians of his genre, I thought it would be quite a clever idea playing with the infamous image of Che Guevara and Timbaland into one...

Strange project we had to do, it was like a life drawing that was a big picture on a building so that's what I attempted to make....

Mixed media that went terribly wrong

Charcoal drawing of a nude woman who had a lot of lights and shadows on her, it was really difficult to depict what I saw in that medium

Life drawing of a woman wrapped in cloth

    Simple life drawing

    Ink life painting thing

This was a result of loads of different movement works we did in sketchbooks and things stuffed into one

Side of a building painted in the most unexpected colours

Re: Unreals A2 Level & Art Foundation Artwork (LOTS of pics)

Had to make a pretend poster for Kew Gardens, I saw a close up picture of some flower and played around with the colours and dynamics of the original to paint this

This was another plant thing we did, I used oil pastels for this

My photoshop page of my portfolio

My photography page of the portfolio

Black print of the Poison Me, Poison the sea thing

My favourite print of the same press thingy

Quick playabout I did of my face

This was for a little project based around fears/phobias, and my biggest fear is heights so I tried to make a piece showing that as much as I could.

    Painting in erratic colours

Unfinished drawing of a still life set

First piece I did on my art foundation course, simple drawing

Expressive painting involving black and white paints only

Charcoal and chalk drawing, don't really like using those materials at all since they're so dry and dusty :x

Surreal piece where we had to combine loads of objects from the still life scene together

Life drawing of a womans face that went horribly wrong

One of my various stencil pieces, looked quite cool after loads of paint settled on the back of it.

    Keri stencil front

    Back of the Keri stencil

Thanks all for your time, all comments are welcome! I'll have a seperate thread up soon with my larger work pieces (such as the one I used in my sig) and sketchbook work

no worries about the nudity in this thread. Seen....appreciated the class act.

    now pls bear in mind I can't draw a bum on a wall.....so I'm prolly wrong....and pls dont be offended....but it's a personal thought:

bores me silly. It's like a 1980's art O level study.

The rest are SO superiorit hurts.

Ha thanks much dude! Glad you can see the nude element in these pieces are appreciated

@ the other pictures, I so agree... I mean the pen drawing is more of a showcase of technical skill but its something else to try and prowess all your creative talent in artistic skills... far more difficult to do. I've learnt how important that is now, infact.

Really, you think? Thanks a lot! I mean I thought it became a bit too random and the colours I used were quite mismatched and ugly... but I guess that's because I prefer a lot of exotic and powerful colours >: D

scarily reminds me of Salvador Dali, though with less dripping phalus'

The horses intrigued me and pulled my eyes....I saw the flower under his stare last.

After your album, (which I play weekly in my car) I'm more and more impressed.

Dunno which way you're going....but it'll be good.

Have you tried that one again? To make it right, I mean. Cos it's nearly right but the jowls kill it, and the eyes are a fraction too large...and I think too perfect.

    Fantastic work there

Loads of variety. I think the stencil ones are the most appealing to me, although some of those nudes are really good too. The second one you posted fr example.

Re: Unreals A2 Level & Art Foundation Artwork (LOTS of pics)

Thanks much dude, haha glad to hear you still enjoy the CD, I'm doing my best to progress much further since its release and I'm now working with major artists and labels so I hope the world gets to hear me soon :3

I was thinking about it yeah, but it was from a life model (yep, she was nude and that old) but yeah those are the two significant faults which almost make it unbearable for me to look at, her eyes are way too large. I think I was thrown off due to the size of the paper, the size of what I was drawing, the speed of which I was drawing it at, and the angle that I was drawing. Tends to often happen that dynamics become thrown off if I am unaware and don't concentrate on the dynamics throughout

I don't think I will have another thrash at that one though I'm studying Illustration this year and I have a whole new world of art to learn which I'm really excited about so I gotta concentrate on that

EDIT: And thanks much Funkstar, stencilling is something I adopted very late into my course but I took a HUGE love into it. Banksy is now my idol
